My First IVF Milestone Cards

When I started documenting our IVF journey, I wanted some quotes and props to help me out. I searched around, and though there are some really inspiring designers out there, I couldn’t find exactly what was in my head.

So I decided to make some of my own. From my own little office at home

I made two set of IVF milestone cards. One for the days I was feeling traditional and after pretty things. One for the days I was feeling sarcastic and using the dark humour in this rollercoaster process.

And that got me thinking. Maybe there is someone else like me, that would like them too.

So I gave my designs to a lovely designer called Megan and we collaborated on these. Each one has to be hand finished with the foiling, but I feel like that makes them feel a little more special. While I’m foiling them I’m wondering what journey their owner is going to have. Hoping that their family dreams come too or that the friend they are gifting them too feels the support and love of their mates.

I’m honestly really nervous about showing you guys. Everyone feels slightly different about their IVF story. Everyone documents it differently. But I have finally got the confidence to put them for sale right here on my blog or through my Etsy shope. Whether you document your IVF journey privately or publicly I hope they help you record such a special story that will, I so hope, result in your baby. I hope you make notes and dates on the back to give to your future little one. I hope they make you feel a little less alone in this. I’m not sure if I’ll sell them as a one off, or whether this will be a long term thing. We’ll see. I’m donating part of the proceeds from each sale to Infertility Network so I hope they go okay! I followed them for the last year and their Facebook posts have made me feel less alone and the information the put out is I think helping to change the stereotypes of fertility.

The second, much, erm, cheekier pack, is in the making. There are a few of you that DM me on instagram, who get my dry sense of humour and share my need to find the humour, accept the ups and the downs and add a little profanity to the process. I’m way more nervous to share those with you but I hope they will find their tribe. Until then, what do you think? What would you have on an IVF milestone card?

Jules these are amazing, I would have loved these when we wer TTC. I never got to IVF likely but they still look pretty cool. I think my friend who did two rounds of IVF while we have been friends would have appreciated them too. Especially for people like us who share our lives on social media. These are amazing g and if I know anyone else on the journey you find yourself on these are on my list of things to put in a TTC gift basket. Xxx

What an incredible idea. We have Dorothy now thanks to IVF. I would’ve liked cards like this – even if only to share with my friends.
I’d have included things like ‘peed on a stick when I shouldn’t have done’ and ‘found a hair on my chin’

These are quite simply, Bloomin Amazing! I would have LOVED these through my 7 rounds of IVF. Happily, I am super lucky to have my 2 beautiful miracles now but will shout about these from the rooftops to anyone that will listen! If there were ever milestones to recognise, it is those of couples undergoing IVF & that Bubba working away so hard inside! ✨❤️ Xx
